Minot State student selected for honor

May 5, 2009 -  An abstract entitled "Application of the Accelerated Leuckart Reaction to Substituted Benzaldehydes" submitted by Minot State University student Steven Lewis has been selected for the Council On Undergraduate Research (CUR) 2009 Posters on the Hill presentation May 5 in Washington, D.C. Lewis works in the lab of Mikhail Bobylev, Ph.D., an INBRE-funded researcher at Minot State. About 60 undergraduate students were selected from the entire country to present their research to members of Congress. The students and their faculty advisors will spend a day at the Capitol, first meeting with their state representatives and senators, and then presenting their research during the poster session. The goal of the event is to advance the cause of undergraduate research.
